RICHMOND – Richmond Area Health Center will be welcoming Elizabeth Mehr, FNP
to the medical team in September. She is transferring from Western Maine Family Health Center, another practice of HealthReach Community Health Centers.
Mehr completed a Master of Nursing degree at Regis College, Weston, MA in 2015. Previously she obtained undergraduate degrees in nursing (Regis – 2013) and psychology (Smith College, MA – 2008). Her clinical areas of interest include women's health and chronic disease management.
“I grew up in rural Maine and am excited about providing healthcare to the residents of Richmond and the surrounding communities,” Mehr recently shared. “My mission is to assist patients in achieving optimal health through a healthy lifestyle and disease prevention. I believe this involves getting to know each patient as an individual and developing a healthcare plan that appeals to the specific person.”
Elizabeth will be working alongside physician Linda Hermans, nurse practitioners Tom Bartol and Melissa Hackett, clinical social worker Judith Day, and psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner Marta Hall to provide primary care and prevention services for 2,600 residents of Richmond, Gardiner, Litchfield, Dresden, Bowdoinham, Pittston, and surrounding towns.
